We’re proud to have a number of sustainability initiatives. By integrating these practices into our daily operations, we’re able to minimize our environmental impact.
Help keep paper cups out of the trash by bringing your own reusable, travel mug instead of getting your beverage in a disposable cup.
When you use your own mug, you’ll also get a $0.10 – $0.25 discount – but the real prize is knowing you’re helping contribute to a more sustainable campus.
Green to Go cuts down campus waste by giving students, staff and faculty the option of getting their food in a reusable, plastic container – instead of the typical compostable takeout container.
Here’s how it works:
When you order your meal at a participating location, ask for it to be in a Green To Go container.
When you pay for your meal, ask the cashier for a Green to Go stamp card.
Return your Green to Go container to the cashier in the Building 6 Cafeteria and get your card stamped.
Collect 10 stamps to receive a free meal at a partner location! (Value of $10)

We’re proud to be one of just 32 Fairtrade Campuses in Canada. We’re committed to carrying products with ingredients produced by small-scale farms or plantations that meet Fairtrade social, economic and environmental standards.
Our seafood is wild-caught and sourced from fisheries that are certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and committed to harvesting at a rate that ensures enough fish are left in the ocean and respecting aquatic habitats.
We’re proud to be a member of the National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC), the national lead for codes of practice development and farm animal care in Canada.
