Order Catering

MacEwan Eats Catering is the exclusive provider for all food, beverage, and alcohol services on campus. External food, beverages, or alcohol are not permitted on the premises, except for catering orders with a total food spend under $250.

Internal University Orders

To place a custom or last-minute order (less than three business days), email cateringmanager@macewan.ca or call 587-635-6122.

Paying for Your Order

All internal catering orders must be paid using a MacEwan University Purchasing Card (p-card). You can add or update your card by logging into your Spoonfed account. After your event, you’ll have three days to report any issues to our catering manager before the card on file is processed. 

External Orders

Placing Your Order

To place your catering order, email cateringmanager@macewan.ca or call 587-635-6122. Your catering order should be placed no later than seven business days prior to your event.

Paying for Your Order

If your event is coordinated through MacEwan’s Conference and Event Services team, you’ll receive a consolidated invoice from the university that includes all catering, space, services, and rentals.

How do I place a catering order?

Can I customize my catering order?

Absolutely! Our catering team is happy to create custom menus tailored to your event.
Please note that custom menu quotes may take up to five business days (Monday–Friday) to prepare and remain valid for 30 days.

Is there a service (gratuity) charge for catering orders?

Yes. Internal MacEwan catering orders are subject to a 10% service charge, while external catering orders are subject to a 15% service charge. 

Who do call if I need assistance from MacEwan Eats Catering during my event?

You can contact our on-call catering team at 587-338-6452 or 780-267-2918.
Contact information cards are also placed on tables where your food is served.

How long will my food be out at my event, and can I take the leftovers?

Alberta Health Services regulations require that high-risk foods left at room temperature for more than two hours be discarded by our catering team. To ensure food safety, leftovers cannot be taken from the event area by the host or attendees.

Can I order catering from an outside catering company other than MacEwan Eats Catering?

MacEwan Eats Catering is the exclusive provider for all food, beverage and alcohol services on campus. External food, beverages, or alcohol are not permitted on the premises, except for catering orders with a total food spend under $250.

For catering orders under $250 that are sourced externally, a single external catering provider must be used. Mixing services from the University’s contracted food service provider with external food service providers is not permitted under any circumstances due to food safety regulations.

This requirement aligns with MacEwan University’s food services, liquor service, and allowable expense policies.
