A Recipe from Chef

Here at MacEwan we know you have a crazy schedule and want healthy, simple meals. Many of our on-campus menus are designed and tailored by the chef with this idea in mind. Below is one of his favorite recipes that you can make at home. No microwave required. 

Put some pep in your step and some s’mores-induced smiles on your face with this easy recipe! All you will need is a bowl, spoon (or for added fun your hands) food safe cling film, and the following 6 ingredients:

Energy Balls

(Oat & Peanut Butter S’mores)

You will need…

  • Large flake oats – 4 cups
  • Peanut butter – 2 cups
  • MacEwan Honey – ¾ cup (add to taste)
  • Chocolate chips – 2 cups
  • Mini marshmallows – 3 cups
  • Diced graham cracker – 3 cups

Tools…

  • A large bowl
  • Spoon
  • Food safe cling film

How to prepare…

Step #1 In a large bowl mix all of the ingredients.

Step #2 Cover, place in refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.

Step #3 Using a small spoon form 48 balls

Done!

One Sunday project that can make you a week’s worth of grab and go breakfasts and snacks. With almost 7 grams of protein per serving this can be a healthy choice to start your day on the go or to help you recover after a workout.
